In the sixties, the details that transformed the cars were mostly related to the world of sport: sport seats, spoilers and wheel arch enlargements.
At the end of the decade, Hans-Albert Zender transformed his passion for Motor Sport into something magnificent, for all those passionate about sports cars.

A SUCCESSFUL HISTORY

Already at the start of the seventies, Zender had become a reference point in the sector of automotive design, and in 1974 Ford Werke AG and Volkswagen AG became Zender clients, thanks to new development technologies that permitted the production of aerodynamic parts for car bodies, made of the highest quality PUR-RIM and ABS materials.

Increased production output, which was recognised at a global level, allowed the plant in Mülheim-Kärlich to be constructed as well as permitting stimulating partnerships to be formed with companies specialising in paintwork and in the realization of plastics.
Zender grew over the years and refined its production of accessories for automobiles. A large distribution network, which in 1977 covered more than 40 countries worldwide. A brand synonymous with quality and ingenuity, expressed in prototype cars, futuristic design and innovative technology.

Zender entered the world of car dealerships in 1980 and only three years later Zender Exklusiv-Auto was founded, whose showrooms hosted dream cars like Ferrari and Maserati.

Zender Industrieprodukte GmbH was founded in 1987, capable of meeting the increasing demands from the major car manufacturers. Everyone searching for a part that could make them stand out, everyone certain of finding in Zender that musician capable of making the strings of every instrument vibrate.

Over the years Zender has always had an eye for collaboration with car manufacturers, choosing locations close to them as bases for his own modification centres. For inexpensive and eco-friendly logistical support.

The OSV is founded in 2000, the same year as the Adam Opel AG. The company is located in Rüsselsheim and Bochum, the same site as the Opel factory where special gas vehicles are manufactured. Six years later Zender sells its own shares to the Adam Opel AG.

Zender was partner and shareholder of Opel until 2006, keeping a fruitful collaboration ongoing and providing jobs to 250 employees.

Zender has grown over the years, thanks to a coherent and forward-looking industrial policy. Without ever losing drive and inventiveness, without ever forgetting the importance of the reliability of deliveries, without losing competitiveness and always relying on a team of highly qualified experts.

In this context of continuous improvement, on October 1, 2005 some Zender activities merged in the new ZenTec automotive GmbH.

Zender Italia Srl was founded in 1998, an important reference point for Zender customers in Italy.

Zender Italia deals with the design and development of components, their production and delivery to the automotive industry.
Thanks to the support of its modification centres, Zender is able to offer a diverse range of services, like for example the in-line mounting of parts produced in small series.

From 2012 Zender Italia extends its activities in the processing of interiorcoatings with high precision machinery and equipment and founded in Osnabrück, Germany, the Zender Germany GmbH.

A leading company in the field of automotive design, it manufactures components made of carbon fiber, a lightweight material with elegant and distinct traits, used in the creation of recognisable personalised touches, which really stand out.

Zender is not just limited to carbon fibre; every feature is made with the most suitable material to give harmony and unity in design to each car.

Customisations of the internal and external parts are carried out in steel, aluminium, PUR-RIM and PP to create something unique, a car that can stand out.
